Ronan Byrne


Chief Development Officer

Mr. Byrne serves as an operating partner to Oaktree’s infrastructure investing team. He has spent his entire 20 year career in aviation infrastructure projects, working from the earliest point of a project's inception through design and construction. Mr. Byrne’s experience includes projects ranging from terminal interior renovations to multi-year billion-dollar redevelopment programs. Throughout his career, Mr. Byrne has worked for the construction contractor and performed as the Owner’s Representative. The perspective he has gained from these differing roles allows Mr. Byrne to effectively manage the many competing interests and challenges and deliver successful projects. Projects of note from his career are the Redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport’s Terminals C and D, the expansion of JFK Airport’s Terminal 4 and the new greenfield airport at Branson, MO’s which was the first privately financed commercial airport constructed in the United States. Mr. Byrne has degrees in mathematics and civil engineering from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
